For my Capstone Design Project, I decided to tackle the question of "How can I make grocery shopping easier and more enjoyably so that more people can enjoy homecooked meals?"
We started by choosing and focusing on a quality of light we wanted to explore. A cut up water bottle created ripples that felt aquatic and alive to me, so I decided to use these feelings to inform the design of the lamp this light source would exist in.
How might we create a logo for something as complicated as composting? What if we designed a logo using the already established visual language found in the recycle icon?
I designed a board game around Jeff Bezos' estimated $160 Billion dollar net worth. The point of the game is to spend all of your $160 Billion dollars before everyone else does, but be careful, payday is right around the corner!
For this project, we had to design a Typography book for a font family of our choice, mine being Didot. In this book we were tasked with explaining the history and design of the font in a way that reflected the qualities the font lives within.
This project challenged us to design a conference logo system, develop a typographic layout system that can cohesively unify all conference touchpoints, and document the system in a brand guidelines document
For my Furniture Experiments class I was tasked with creating a prototype to experiment within a chosen topic. I chose to prototype ways to keep my puppy, Junebug, entertained and exercised without having to toss her ball every 20 seconds.
