This class was definitely a challenge. Instead of designing for a solution, we were told to design to learn, and then create new things from this information. For my topic I was curious how we might entertain dogs in a way that requires minimal human intervention.
Even though my initial prototype did not work as intended, I knew I would have to iterate on this concept, so I am glad I tried it. The prototype has continued to evolve, as I switched out the spring, dog toy and rope for a spare leash made of some stretchy rubber material. This leash works perfectly because of how easy it is to attach to the tree and adjust the length.
